H.L. I only had my "great momentum" with EDENBRIDGE in 2017, when they published the album of the same name which even became my album of the year. As also the following albums impressed me a lot with their dense atmosphere, the charismatic female vocals, the symphonic catchiness and the solid portion of pathos, I had a listen into the back catalogue. The earlier albums also contain several hits like "Higher", "Skyline's End" or "Come Undone". Another must have from one of the leading genre bands!

Strange, I noticed Edenbridge not before 2017's "The Great Momentum", which became one of my alltime female fronted metal albums. "Dynamind" is currently on the same way. The selection of songs is varied, they are catchy, powerful, touching and not overburden with symphonic elements. The distinctive vocals remind me sometimes at a metallic version of Karen Carpenter's unique soulful voice. I guess that is a very personal impression. Anyway, "Dynamind" is a must have for fans of the genre! H.L.

#3 2023: "XANDRIA reborn", concerning the line-up. In terms of music it is what you expect from one of the leading symphonic metal bands. 75 minutes(!) of bombastic, dramatic, well arranged and varied female fronted metal. Each song on this long player is catchy, full of pathos and a hit, Also the new singer makes a great job and brings soul into the heavy soundscapes. A must have release for fans of this genre. Not original, but better than all Nightwash releases since "Dark Passion Play"! H.L.
